Spotlight: Just got the better of Sean in a 1m1f handicap here last season and even better form in defeat in Britain in the summer including a third to Fox Legacy at Newmarket; workable mark, potentially more to come and he's the first-string for a yard in-form.
Spotlight: Maiden win at Doncaster came over this trip before an impressive novice success on the Rowley Mile at Newmarket (1m, good) and was only narrowly touched off in his hat-trick bid on the July course when last seen; that form has worked out nicely and he's a fascinating runner stepping back up in trip on return; gelded since last seen 174 days ago.
Spotlight: Promise as a juvenile and won both starts as a three-year-old, following up a novice success at Doncaster to win a valuable handicap at Newmarket over this trip; 13lb higher now but that's an effort worth marking up having raced away from the favoured rail and one for the shortlist.
Spotlight: Won each of his first three starts including a Listed success over this trip at Newmarket before losing his unbeaten record when too bad to be true in the Dante; not seen since and has been gelded; probably has a stiff enough mark on the back of a 232-day absence.
Spotlight: Signed off last season's campaign with a Listed success at Abu Dhabi; struggled both outings this term and while a Group 2 here a fortnight ago was too warm for him, he seems on a stiff-enough mark.
Spotlight: Career best came in four-runner contest over this trip at Navan but lost his way a little in three subsequent runs; left Aidan O'Brien for 40,000gns and others are probably on better marks.
Spotlight: Improved for William Haggas last season, following up a Leicester maiden win to land a 12-runner handicap at York and ran a cracker in his hat-trick bid in the John Smith's Cup when beaten roughly 2l by Fox Legacy; 2lb rise is justified and he should be thereabouts if fit after 174 days off.
Spotlight: Took a big step forward to win on dirt return here and possibly still feeling the effects of that run when a 10l fourth (sent off 13-8 favourite); this demands a career best back on turf and stall 14 isn't any help.
Spotlight: Smart form in France and won four of his nine starts for Andre Fabre; gelded ahead of yard debut and would need to take a step forward to defy this mark.
Spotlight: Went back-to-back in handicaps in Britain in the summer but signs the handicapper had caught up towards the end of the campaign; new yard having been purchased for 75,000gns and career best called for.
Spotlight: Best form in France came on heavy and possibly didn't handle dirt when tailed off on UAE debut three weeks ago; return to this surface will help but seems on a stiff mark for what he's achieved.
Spotlight: Won twice for Joseph O'Brien including the valuable Gowran Classic; hasn't matched that form in three runs for these connections but step back in the right direction when beaten 3l here three weeks ago, despite a poor trip; at his best with a strong gallop to aim at.
Spotlight: Went close here last season behind Arabian Light; poor campaign in Britain and was beaten roughly 8l on his return here (1m1f) here three weeks ago; no wins since 2023 and he's opposable, despite his sliding mark.
Spotlight: Won a Jebel Ali Group 3 last term and his best turf effort came in a C&D success two seasons ago; hasn't been at his best in two dirt starts this year and while he has a lower turf mark to work with, others look more likely.

A competitive opener which includes four Charlie Appleby runners who all have some sort of chance. William Buick opts for the course winner, Arabian Light who we may not have seen the best of and similar can be said for stablemate King's Charter who is a lightly-raced four-year-old arriving on the back of a career best. However, the tentative vote goes to Billy Loughnane's mount BEDOUIN PRINCE who shaped like he would relish a return to this trip when narrowly denied in his hat-trick bid at Newmarket last time and that form has worked out nicely. From the remainder, Archivist is one to be interested in with just a 2lb rise to cope with for a close third in the John Smith's Cup. [Phill Anderson] Show less
