Spotlight: Much improved since being gelded, returning to win over this trip at Ayr in July and followed up off 6lb higher mark when impressively taking Ascot contest on soft ground eight days ago; carries mandatory 7lb penalty here but has been re-assessed by the British handicapper on 100 so theoretically has 7lb in hand here with ground to suit.
Spotlight: Lightly raced son of Frankel reappeared to win over 1m1f here on Derby weekend and more recently needed every yard when getting up late over a mile at Killarney; not as effective in between on softer ground at Galway so probably won't want much more rain now upped in trip.
Spotlight: Two 1m wins here include premier handicap last year; quieter campaign in 2025, pick of four runs have been here, strong-finishing third (after not clear run) on Derby weekend and last month when again doing best work at finish when 1.125l fifth of 15 behind Jagged Edge in Irish Cambridgeshire; interesting now upped in trip.
Spotlight: Thrived with step up in trip this summer, winning at Leopardstown (1m1f) and stayed on strongly over today's C&D in beating Glen To Glen 2.25l in July; 7lb higher but could go well.
Spotlight: Lightly raced 3yo won a soft-ground Cork maiden in April and returned from summer break for 22-1 win in 15-runner Irish Cambridgeshire here last month (2lb wrong), getting up closing strides despite rider briefly losing an iron; could have more to offer now upped in trip with ground remaining in his favour.
Spotlight: Steadily progressive 4yo won at Leopardstown over 1m1f on soft and career-best when close third to subsequent Group 3 winner Elana Osario in Killarney fillies handicap over 1m4f on similar; another good run here on latest under top-weight when second to an improving 3yo over 1m4f; drops in trip here and will appreciate rain.
Spotlight: Maiden win here on the opening day of the season came at 6f (soft), better form upped to today's trip when fourth at Royal Ascot and here in July when outpaced late by 2.25l winner Lady In Paris; back from a break with blinkers tried and 7lb better off with that rival.
Spotlight: Progressive last summer and again for this season's new yard, winning at Leopardstown and following up off 7lb higher over C&D in lady riders handicap; didn't run badly at Goodwood latest so not one to rule out.
Spotlight: Front-runner won four on the bounce last season and has continued the good work this campaign, winning at Leopardstown and twice narrowly denied here; didn't quite get home over 1m4f at Galway latest but respected back in trip here with visor tried.
Spotlight: Emerged from a short break for second career win when made plenty of use of in Roscommon conditions event over this trip 13 days ago, clear of remainder in just holding off a strong favourite on soft ground; 10lb rise looks a bit harsh but will appreciate the ground.
Spotlight: Last win came in a valuable 1m handicap here last summer but back to form off reduced mark when second over 1m1f at Leopardstown in first-time cheekpieces; good run since in Irish Cambridgeshire here when under 2l off Jagged Edge, having raced keenly; will need to settle better to see this out (cheekpieces left off).
Spotlight: Maiden winner over 1m last summer for William Haggas; just fair form this term in handicaps, beaten favourite on soft at Galway on penultimate; hard to be confident in despite reduced mark.
Spotlight: Three wins at this trip on decent ground; seasonal-best when touched off in valuable York handicap in May, didn't really feature in similar contest on latest; won't want much more rain.
Spotlight: Last year's win in this race came off mark of 94; light campaign this term when tried over longer trips, not discredited in Group 3 at Leopardstown last time; return to this trip a positive but others preferred.
Spotlight: Hasn't won since Group 3 C&D win over two years ago; pick of four runs this term when unlucky in running fifth (beaten only 1.5l) here over 1m4f; hood didn't work at Galway latest and now left off.
Spotlight: Highly-tried 3yo and often out of his depth but did win 4-runner Navan contest over this trip in July when dropped in grade; no show in Group 3 Royal Whip over C&D latest; stiff task back in handicap company.
Spotlight: Seven wins include here over 1m4f last summer; without success this year, best effort came over C&D in May; handicapper only slow relenting and others look better handicapped.
Spotlight: Better AW performer and is 0-11 on turf, encouraging Leopardstown effort on most recent turf outing (1m1f); yard seemingly have others with stronger claims.
Spotlight: Cork maiden winner last year at this trip but a bit underwhelming so far this year; bit to find but does go on soft ground.
Spotlight: Has returned from 260-day absence in the form of her life for new yard, making all for today's rider to win over this trip at both Naas and Down Royal (good) in blinkers; up an aggregate of 16lb but remains 7lb out of handicap in this much higher grade.
Spotlight: Debut winner of heavy-ground maiden here last year (7f) and first success since when taking Galway maiden hurdle six days ago (hooded first time); pick of four previous Flat handicap runs when close fourth over this trip at Sligo; in good heart but looks to have a bit to find unless retained hood brings improvement (1lb wrong).
Spotlight: Both wins last year came on soft, notably late-season premier handicap here over 1m; last week's Galway third (in first-time cheekpieces, now left off) was his best of the season but this trip is unknown territory and 2lb wrong.
Spotlight: All three wins have been at 1m2f on soft or heavy, including over C&D; out of form this year until Thursday's staying-on Clonmel fourth on preferred ground which was mildly encouraging; more needed and 2lb wrong.

Competitive-looking but a worthy hot favourite in CROWN OF OAKS (nap), so impressive at Ascot on soft and 7lb well-in on future events. Recent irish Cambridgeshire winner Jagged Edge, along with the likes of Lady In Paris, the upped-in-trip State Actor and first-time visored Cloud Seeker look the best of the home challenge.
