Spotlight: Completed a 1m hat-trick in June, on the AW, good to firm and soft; his inflated mark doesn't count against him in a race of this nature and he's holding his form well.

Spotlight: His French win was on very soft ground and conditions were heavy when strolling home at Ffos Las five days ago, which followed a third over the round 1m here in July (good); carrying a penalty could make life awkward.

Spotlight: All three wins at 7f but has form over this far; 2-3 for current yard and 2-2 in the tongue-tie, winning low-grade handicaps here (good to soft) and at Newcastle (AW); has been going from the front and should make a bold bid.

Spotlight: Only had three races and the close second at Carlisle (1m, good to soft) is the standout run; bit risky.

Spotlight: Exposed five-time winner; ran no race at York last time but was bang there at Newmarket the start before (1m, good to firm; ideal ground) and that was also the case the last time he tried cheekpieces (here last August).

Spotlight: Last three races over slightly further at Hamilton, winning Class 5/6 handicaps before running surprisingly well behind progressive 3yos in a Class 3; perhaps flattered from the front last time but enters the equation.

Spotlight: These terms don't appear that favourable at face value but he returned to winning ways in a 1m handicap at Windsor (soft; second run in this headgear combination) and he was worthy of a much higher mark last year; considered.

Spotlight: Likes a long straight so recent defeats at Beverley and Pontefract are forgiven, while his sixth at Redcar in between was after a troubled run; could have a say.

Spotlight: Both wins on Tapeta and 0-10 on the grass, though twice placed; hasn't been running well enough of late to believe he'll provide the answer.

Spotlight: In good form back in the spring at about 1m and his Wolverhampton fourth after a break was no backward step; Southwell was ten days ago but if forgiven that a case can be made.
